Once up a time, the English Parliament in London voted for developments in Cameroon, so the Basel Mission did not hesitate to make a successful application at once for Building Grants for a full secondary school and a Teacher’s Training Centre. Owing to the great favour of the Honourable Fon of Bali, His Highness Galega II, the present beautiful site of the college was shown to Rev. J. Grest and a boundary was fixed shortly afterwards.

 

On one of the flanks of the Matterhorn which rears its head amongst many a hillock in the Bali Sub-Division of North West Province, there sprawls a leading educational institution that sends out, each year, youths that are imbued and equipped with spiritual fervour, scientific method and a determination to live a full life.

 

That institution is Cameroon Protestant College. It was opened in 1949, under the distinguished principalship of late Mr. David O’Neill (Pa O'Neill). The pioneer principal instituted "education of the head, heart and moral rectitude", making Bali a distinguished educational citadel for the development of a holistic person. Bali's achievements have stood as evidence to its creed.
